Back to blogging!

I think it’s time to get back to blogging after such a long time. I will do what I can to post often in between my other duties for my family, which will always come first.

First I have to introduce our 3rd vasectomy-reversal blessing that is now a year and a half years old. His name is William Edward after my husband, Andrew’s, paternal grandfather. William is such a boy and a constant joy to our home. He is learning something new all the time, and his vocabulary is expanding daily. Here is a picture of him.

ISN’T HE SO CUTE??

I’m very biased, haha

Let those who love God’s salvation say continually,  “The Lord be magnified!”

Amen!

my family from Puerto Rico's visit

Tomorrow the last of the family will be leaving to go back to Puerto Rico, it has been a nice to see my cousins and uncles and aunts again after so many years and yet it gives me a sad feeling because they are all in need of the grace of God in their lives.
I pray the Lord uses this visit to shed light and the He uses our family to be a light unto them. Here are some pictures of them.

Blessings

my wonderful hubby

I have decided that after such a long time of not posting anything (because of lack of time), that I will now take the time to post something special in recognition of my dearest friend, my life long companion, my knight in shinning armor, my wonderful leader-- my husband. What makes him so wonderful? His sacrificial love for me and our children.
He is, at this moment, doing something that he would rather not be doing-- remodeling our bathroom and kitchen. Our house is old and not everything measures up nicely when one is trying to remodel things, so it takes lots of patients and a great desire to please me to make him take up this endeavor. Why is this so amazing? Because everything he does is for us-- his family.
My dear husband works everyday sacrificially to provide for his family, and everyday- twice a day- he takes the time- even when he is exhaustedly tired from work- to instruct us in the Word of God; so we are not only fed and cared for physically, but spiritually as well.  He is an example of true manhood, godliness, generosity, and love for his family.
I love him!

Here he is trying to level the floor (tedious business when the floor has a terrible slant!)
He wouldn't smile for the camera!
Measuring, thinking, planning...
Plumbing... how he hates it!
But he does it anyways-- for me!

Lighthouses

I like lighthouses, mainly because they remind me much of what Jesus is to us.

I envision a seaman
Out in the vast ocean
In the darkness of the night.
The waters become tempestuous,
His ship begins to toss to and fro.
It becomes violent and he begins to despair of ever making it home.
He becomes desperate as he sees he cannot control his vessel;
Like the disciples of old when they cried out is fright because their ship was in peril.
Then far in the distance he sees a dim light of HOPE.
A beacon of the TRUTH that land is near.
He begins to have hope again that he will be SAVED,
And he prays to God for MERCY.
And, in the mist of his struggles, he sees the hand of God upon him,
Assuring him that it is true-- he is saved.

A lighthouse is all this things to a seaman HOPE, TRUST, SAVETY, MERCY, and TRUTH, just as Christ is all this things to those who trust Him.

May the Lord be a lighthouse to you today and always.
